Currently we have six volunteers staying here in the volunteer house. Last night we had a bit of a dinner party, where my fiancé Ben (her full name is Benjamas – which means Chrysanthemum in Thai), drafted a few of the volunteers to help with cooking a four course Thai meal, consisting of steamed fish, a red curry, a Thai style soup with tofu and pork and an omellette, served over steamed rice. It was excellent. My part in the event was buying some Thai beer for everyone and then, of course, washing all the dishes.
